Frequently asked questions.

What devices does Me. work with?

Any device that writes data to Apple Health. That includes Apple Watch, Oura Ring, Garmin, Whoop, Withings, CGMs, and hundreds of others. Worth knowing: not every device shares everything with Apple Health. Some write a full picture, some write selectively. Me. works with whatever your devices have shared.

If some of your data doesn't write to Apple Health, separate apps like Health Sync and HRV Sync can bring it in, where Me. can read it. They aren't part of Me., so check their privacy terms before connecting an account.

Does my data leave my device?

No. Everything is stored on your device. There are no Me. servers, no account, and no data uploaded anywhere. If you choose to enable iCloud backup, your data backs up through your own iCloud account, the same way your photos and contacts do.

What is a compilation?

A compilation is a structured plain-text document Me. builds from your selected data, your check-in notes, and your profile. You choose the time range and which data to include, then compile. The result is a document you can paste into any AI tool, take to a GP appointment, or send to a coach.

How often should I compile?

It depends on what you are trying to do. Some people compile weekly as part of a regular review. Others compile before a GP appointment, at the end of a training block, or when something feels off and they want to look at the data properly. There is no right cadence. Compile when you have a question worth asking.

Does Me. give health advice?

No. Me. presents your data in context and compiles it into a form that qualified people and tools can work with. The interpretation belongs with your GP, your coach, or the AI tool you choose to use. That is a deliberate position, not a limitation.

What is the doctrine layer?

It is a section of your Health Profile where you capture your health values and preferences. Things like what trade-offs you are willing to make, what has and has not worked for you, and how you want an AI to respond to you. It is freeform and entirely yours. A well-written doctrine layer gives any AI tool or professional real context about who you are, not just what your numbers say.

What is the difference between free and Pro?

The free tier gives you full access to the app: complete profile, daily check-ins, notes, training plan, prompt library, and up to five compilations per month with a 7-day time range. Pro adds unlimited compilations and full history time ranges (14 days, 28 days, 90 days, and all time), and profile change history so you can track how your health picture has shifted over time. Pricing is available in the App Store.

How do I get the most out of Me. in my first week?

Start with your profile. Conditions and medications first, then fill the rest over time. Do your check-in each day, even if it only takes 15 seconds. Add a note after any session or day worth recording. By the end of the week you will have enough data to run your first compilation and ask something useful.

Can my GP or coach access Me. directly?

No. Me. does not have sharing features or external access. The way it works with your GP or coach is through the compilation: you compile the relevant data, and you decide what to share and how. That keeps you in control of your own information.

What happens to my data if I delete the app?

Your data is stored on your device, so deleting the app removes it. You can back up manually at any time from within the app, and if you have iCloud backup enabled your data is recoverable if you reinstall. Me. does not hold a copy anywhere else, so there is nothing to request or delete from a server.
